Wild West Off Road Safaris
Wine Dine & Mine 3-Day Tour
Howdy guys and gals,

Come join us for a 3 day 2 night (third night option) adventure which encompasses all
that Southern Arizona is famous for. Take yourself back in time and explore this
amazing country of rolling hills, mountain passes and cactus fields the way those initial
intrepid explorers did. However just so it’s not the arduous and life threatening
experience they endured we will replace feet, mules and wagons as our mode of
transport with modern state of the art SxS. This panoramic and exhilarating ride sets out
from the old Western Town of Tucson and runs through the hills of the Santa Rita’s
down to the old ranching region of Sonoita which is the home of the hidden jewel of a
world class vineyards in Elgin. Aiming to arrive in Sonoita mid afternoon we will drop our
vehicles at the chosen camp site and take a tour of a vineyard or two where you can
select a wine of your choice to accompany the open grilled steaks we will have around
the campfire.
After a night under the crystal clear skies Arizonans have shared for centuries we head
to Patagonia and pass through the mountains and mines before reaching the old town
of Tubac for lunch. From there we will run the old mine road that connected one of the
countries largest zinc mines in its day to railway routes of the old grand pacific line.
This will bring us to a wonderful and rustic campsite where the offer of running water
and mattress awaits. For those doing the real thing canvas and campbeds are available.
Day three has us explore the old mining area of Ruby and The Montana Mine and its
ruins with a run down to the border wall passing through some of the most beautiful and
unspoilt wilderness Arizona has to offer.
From here we hit the ghost town of Sassabee and explore the Adobe Ruins and giant
Saguaros of Presimudo before running home through the Buenos Aires Wildlife Refuge
Area. Once back in Arivaca we will load up for the return trip to Tucson although there are
options to extend your stay in paradise.
